Financial Aid & Scholarships
If you are a degree-seeking, domestic graduate student you are eligible to apply for financial aid, primarily student loans to help fund your graduate education. Scholarships for graduate students are mostly awarded by specific academic departments. Students seeking Loyola scholarships are encouraged to contact their program’s department to determine available options and to learn more about the scholarship application process. We also encourage exploration of external agencies that award others.
Graduate Assistantships
Graduate Assistantships are available in specific academic and student services departments.
The following are currently available:
- Master of Science in Counseling - the Counseling Program offers six Graduate Assistant positions. The workload consists of an average of 20 hours per week over one academic year. To learn more information and how to apply, click here.
- Master of Business Administration - MBA Graduate Assistant positions are paid hourly for their work with business professors on academic research, grant administration, and special event planning. To learn more information and how to apply, click here.
- The Division of Enrollment Management - the Division of Enrollment Management offers Graduate Assistant positions across 5 offices within the division. Graduate assistantships are university positions held by graduate students in good academic standing. Other requirements may apply depending on the program/department or terms of the assistantship.
Payment Plans / Tuition & Fees
Tuition and fees vary by academic year and are based on the number of credits you plan to take. The rates can also differ depending on if you plan to pursue your graduate degree on campus or online.

Loyola University New Orleans offers multiple ways to pay your tuition and fee bill. There are also payment plan options available.
Employer Reimbursement Program
Students whose employer reimburses tuition may be eligible for Loyola's Employer Reimbursement Program. The program allows students who qualify for an employer sponsored tuition reimbursement benefit to defer 90% of their tuition and fees until 30 days after final grades are added to a student’s official transcript.
